Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe, a lot of people don't know that she started out as Norma Jeane. However, once she was beginning her career she died her Brunette hair to a nice blond and changed her name to Marilyn Monroe, she was thought out to be the new Blond Bombshell. Most people believed she was dumb as she became more popular, but she was the exact opposite, she was actually quite brilliant. She married three times in her life once as Norma Jeane, and twice as Marilyn. Her last marriage to Aurthur Miller, she had a miscarriage.

Most of Marilyn's work was done in the 50s, because of her death in 196 . In fact in 1950 she changed her hair. Her movie career began with A Ticket to Tomahawk, she had a very small part but she was still in the movie. Her next role was in the same year, The Asphalt Jungle. It was still small but she was in it. In 1951 She was in 4 films, As Young as You Feel, Home Town Story, Love Nest, and Let's Make it Legal. Clash by Night, We're Not Married, Don't Bother to Knock, O' Henry's Full House, and Monkey Business were all first viewed in 1952. As the year's went on she gained bigger and bigger roles.

1953 she was in three major roles, Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blonds and How to Marry a Millionaire. In 1954 she was in two movies, River of No Return, and There's no Business Like Show Business. As you seen from the picture on the left, that is the famous air duct picture from the movie The Seven Year Itch, from 1955.

The rest of the fifties for Marilyn went like this...
1956 - Bus Stop
1957 - The Prince and the Showgirl
1959 - Some Like it Hot

Unfortunately Marilyn was found dead on August 5, 1962. Although the 60's were short for her, she had her third divorce, had an affair with President Kennedy, and his brother Robert. She is on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, wins a Golden Globe, and continued to make movies. Some may wonder what would have happened if she hadn't died so young.
